OpenAI adds ChatGPT Admin Console analytics linking AI use to business results

OpenAI released analytics in the ChatGPT Admin Console that link AI use to business results, and set out a 5-question framework for assessing the value of work. In its example ROI, a sales account research brief goes from 4 hours to 1 hour each (including review); for 20 sellers that is 5,520 hours a year, and assuming $75 an hour and 50% redeployment, it is worth $207,000 a year against a first-year cost of $60,000 → an example ROI of 245%. As customer cases it cited 1Password (553% ROI and $800,000 a year's worth of engineering capacity), ATV Big Air Tour (weekly listing review cut from 8 hours to 1 hour) and Playco (a 50% reduction in manual fixes).

Why it matters

These are ROI calculations put forward by the vendor, as examples with stated assumptions — they should be read as claims, not facts. They show the case for adoption moving from "capability demos" to "accounting line items".
