Today in AI history widget

Paste one line of HTML into a blog or school site and it shows an AI record from that calendar day, every day — each one checked against its source.

Preview

This is the real widget. Change the theme and both the preview and the code follow.

Auto follows the viewer's device setting (light or dark).

Code to paste

Paste it as-is into your blog editor's HTML view or your site builder's ‘embed HTML’ block.

<iframe src="https://next-token.net/en/embed/today/" width="100%" height="220" style="border:0" title="Next Token — Today in AI history" loading="lazy"></iframe>

How it works

  1. It uses the viewer's own date to pick a record from that month and day. When a day has several, a different one comes up each year.
  2. If that day has no record, it shows the nearest earlier date and says so inside the widget.
  3. No ads, no cookies, no visit statistics — it only reads the record files from this site.
  4. Made for 320–600 px wide and 220 px tall — leave the width at 100%.
  5. With JavaScript off it shows the latest record and its link.

The records are under CC BY-NC 4.0. Non-commercial blogs, schools and clubs may embed it freely; the author credit (factnotes) and the source line are inside the widget.
