d-Matrix adopts NVIDIA NVLink Fusion for its Raptor XPU inference accelerator

Announced that it is adopting NVIDIA NVLink Fusion for its next-generation inference accelerator, Raptor XPU, for rack-scale deployment. Raptor XPU connects via NVLink scale-up networking to the NVIDIA Vera CPU, ConnectX-9 SuperNIC, BlueField-4 DPU and Spectrum-X Ethernet, and is compatible with the MGX rack architecture and Vera Rubin NVL72 systems, supporting disaggregated inference. d-Matrix CEO Sid Sheth said the company can integrate its silicon into liquid-cooled architectures faster and at lower risk.

Why it matters

A trend in which, as NVLink Fusion absorbs even competing inference silicon, NVIDIA's rack architecture is hardening into the de facto standard interconnect for AI data centers.
