Released Gemma 2 (9B and 27B) under the Gemma license; the 27B runs full-precision inference on a single NVIDIA H100 or A100 80GB GPU or a TPU host
Why it matters
The second Gemma generation; Google claimed the 27B competes with models more than twice its size and the 9B outperforms Llama 3 8B
