Helion released in beta
Helion beta released — compiles a Python-embedded DSL into autotuned Triton kernels. An attention kernel takes 30 lines in Helion versus 120 in Triton; geometric-mean speedup over eager of 3.27× on B200 (torch.compile 2.7×, hand-written Triton 1.76×), and 2.37× on MI350X (MI350 series)
Why it matters
Just as Triton abstracted CUDA by one level, Helion abstracts Triton by one more. The next layer in the lineage of kernel authoring
