Claude's design skill links web to print in one context

Anthropic's /design skill is a feature aimed at the inefficiency of revising designs over and over through text conversation alone. The skill is designed to ask detailed questions step by step — for example, when no color scheme has been set, as with a resale site for Apple devices, you start by asking it for three moodboard options. In a finished web design you can double-click to fix text, colors and radius directly and leave comments on specific areas to request rework, and because results are shared as artifact links, a flow that gets client sign-off first and then moves into development becomes possible. Carrying over the same context, it generates a social set — Instagram squares, short-form, banners and Open Graph images — and even print posters while keeping the brand colors, so web → social → print connect as one design system. It is at the level of a new-feature introduction, so it lacks depth, but it is enough as material for a design-automation demo.

Key points

  • With no color scheme, start with three moodboard options; the skill asks questions step by step
  • Double-click editing and area comments allow Figma-like revisions
  • Sharing artifact links enables a flow of client sign-off first, then development
  • Generates web → social set → print poster while keeping the brand colors

This is a note: my own write-up after reading several sources. It has no source link; events checked against a source are kept as records.
