Planning for a test

When you're overwhelmed, don't ask AI for the answer — ask it to break the job down. You can split things up together, but you decide what comes first, and you adjust the plan at the end of each day.

When to use this

  • The test is two weeks away and you don't know where to start.
  • You have lots of subjects, not enough time, and need to decide what to cut back.
  • Your plan fell behind after a few days and needs redoing.

Try asking

Paste one into any AI chatbot as it is — or, better, change it to fit your own subject.

  1. My midterms are in 14 days: English, math, biology and Spanish. I can study 2 hours on school days and 4 hours on weekends, so split the topics I've pasted below into a day-by-day first-draft plan.

Why it works · Giving a goal and real limits (days, hours, subjects) gets you a plan you can actually use, not just one that sounds good.

  2. Algebra is my weakest topic, and I already know most of my Spanish vocab. Reorder the plan with that in mind, and tell me if anything is missing from it.

Why it works · Only you know what's urgent, so you set the priorities — and asking "what's missing?" one more time catches a lot of gaps.

  3. Today I only got through one of the two biology chapters I planned. Spread what's left over the remaining days without overloading any of them, and keep the day before the test for review only.

Why it works · A plan gets checked and adjusted every day, and re-planning as soon as you fall behind keeps everything from piling up on the last night.

Avoid

  • Sending just "make me a study plan" — with no details, you get a plan that fits nobody in particular.
  • Following the AI's plan without changing it — it doesn't know which subjects are hard for you.
  • Spending your study time polishing the plan — once you have a draft, start on day one.

How to check the answer

  • Make sure the dates and weekdays match a real calendar and don't clash with practice, clubs or other plans.
  • Try day one and see whether that much work really fits in the time.
  • Compare the topics in the plan with what your teacher said is on the test, so nothing's missing.

In one line

Split it together, set the order yourself, check it daily.
